It seems that the eye keeps in its memory not the abstract concept of time but the concrete places it is in , and places them in it. Even if we do not remember the time we are in, we definitely remember the place, because we have seen it with our eyes, it is definitely recorded in our memory.
So, the spirit of the earth is connected to the sky. In Turkish theology, the sky, the earth and the person are the main pillars.
What creates the spirit of time is actually the places we see with our eyes and the sounds we hear with our ears. What creates our spirit is what is related to the eye and ear. The connections between the neurons in our brain only gain meaning with sounds and images that show a sense of liveliness.

So, it is up to us to keep the memory of the place alive in our own personal moments and to live its spirit in person. While I personally define myself as a Fatih , I feel that the spirit of Fatih , as the place where I was born , constantly lives in me, and it is Fatih’s spirit of leadership and making people live together in love that shapes my behavior. The freedom decree called ‘Ahidname’ given by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Han to Franciscan priests was written 324 years before the US Constitution on July 4, 1776, which was accepted as the first human rights document.
In addition, the city of Hong Kong, where I lived for five years due to my profession, has left other marks on me as a place and I constantly miss this city. It turns out that the Hong Kong spirit is a very inclusive, mystical and spiritual place and in that respect, it is one of the cities that is frequently visited.
The fact that the places where Latins and Turks live cover almost all continents indicates to us the polyphonic richness of the spirit that the place contains in the center of these human communities. The alphabet of the Turks of Turkey is of Latin origin and the Turks of Turkistan are in the process of changing their alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin. On the other hand, the rationalist philosophy of the Andalusian thinker Ibn Rushd was influenced by the Turkish philosopher Farabi et Turki, who is called the Second Aristotle.
